Behind the Boomstik

Players loved the punch of the SLK ERA Power. Now add 14% more exit speed and turn the power dial to the max. Meet Project Boomstik — the latest from Selkirk LABS that rewrites the narrative on power paddles.

Forget sacrificing durability for power. Our engineers keep running durability tests over and over and still haven't been able to take it to failure. No core crush. No break-in periods. Explosive power and consistent performance from day one.

At the center lies the new BoomCore — PureFoam surrounded by an EVA Power Ring, fused for our most powerful core system ever. Solid feel, a massive sweet spot, and lasting durability. This paddle shaves a crucial 25 milliseconds off your opponent's response window — roughly the blink of an eye. That difference turns reachable shots into forced errors.

Project Boomstik also introduces the MOI Tuning System — a semi-permanent perimeter weighting solution that balances mass distribution and increases the moment of inertia, stabilizing the paddle on off-center hits for a larger, more forgiving sweet spot.

This is a paddle that's impossible to ignore — booming power for vicious drives and serves plus InfiniGrit's enhanced spin. Don't let your opponent get the edge. Get the Boomstik. Feel it. Hear it. Win with it.

Is it right for you?

A quick guide from the demo wall to help you decide if the Boomstik Elongated fits your game.

**Power**

Rated **10 / 10**. The elongated shape gives extra reach and leverage — the most aggressive, attacking-style power in the Boomstik line.

**Sweet spot**

Large for an elongated power paddle (**9 / 10**) — still forgiving, but with a narrower contact zone than the Widebody.

**Shot placement**

Workable, but not the first choice if placement is your main priority. The Elongated favors reach and an aggressive attacking shape. For pure control we'd lean toward the **LUXX Control Air** or **OMNI Widebody**.

**Beginners**

It can work, but we wouldn't start here. The Boomstik is built first for power, and beginners usually improve faster with a paddle that gives more control and easier resets.

Better beginner-friendly options in the shop: SLK Geo Widebody (best starting point), SLK Valkyrie Widebody, and Selkirk LUXX Control Air InfiniGrit Epic (premium control).

TECHNOLOGY

BOOMCORE™

BoomCore™

PureFoam surrounded by an EVA Power Ring and fused together — our most powerful core system ever. Massive sweet spot, unrivaled durability. No core crush, no break-in period. Explosive power from day one.

MOI TUNING SYSTEM

MOI Tuning System

Semi-permanent perimeter weighting clamped to the edge guard shifts mass outward, raising the moment of inertia. The result: a larger, more forgiving sweet spot and balanced weight distribution — not too top-heavy, not too light — right out of the box.

INFINIGRIT® SURFACE

InfiniGrit® Surface

Triples the spin durability of raw carbon surfaces and boosts spin up to 2,000 RPMs for more precise, controlled shots. Consistent performance that holds up over extended play.

OCTAGONAL HANDLE

Octagonal Handle

Upgraded octagonal grip for greater maneuverability and shot accuracy on the court.

“The Boomstik is the loudest paddle in the shop — 14% more exit speed than the SLK ERA Power and it just won't quit. For most beginners I'd start elsewhere, but if you want pure put-away power, this is it. The Elongated is the most aggressive version — extra reach and plow-through for attacking drives and overheads.”
